1. Respect every single person on this forum.
This is the most important rule of all. Nobody likes a disrespectful member, it just makes the forum no fun.
2. NO power-playing.
Power-playing is controlling another character's actions. This is a big no-no.
Bad Example: Jane screamed in wild rage and shot Tommy in the heart eighty billion times. Tommy yelled in pain and died.
Good Example: Jane screamed in wild rage and aimed the gun at Tommy, hoping she wouldn't miss. Then she fired several times
[Not saying those are good examples for an entire post, just a line. Or whatever. ]
3. No one-liners.
I know sometimes we all have writer's block, but please, PLEASE, no one-liners! They are disgusting and pathetic; anyone can write at least a few sentences. So please, 4 lines minimum. And that is the absolute [minimum]. I would prefer a few nice paragraphs.
4. Make sure you have a first and a last name for your display name.
Your username can be anything you want, but I do not want your display name to be something like: taylorg56438556. It should be something like: Taylor Gordon. If you want, you can include your middle name.
5. Try to use proper grammar and spelling.
It is super annoying when you see a sentence in a post that looks like this: Amdna grabed teh apple of the tabble and tooked a huge bit out of it. Use spell check, and use proper grammar to the best of your ability!
6. This site is rated PG-13+.
Everyone here should be 13 or older, so you may have PG-13 material. If you think things may go beyond that in a thread, please post some sort of warning in the title! [Example: Bob and Jenny -R-]
7. Listen to the admins!
You should treat every admin as though they were me, the main administrator. They all deserve respect, and they have the authority to do pretty much anything I can.
8. No spamming!
Don't advertise your site in a random thread. And don't post inappropriate links or pictures anywhere. Please, just don't. There is a board for advertising.
9. Keep swearing to a minimum.
Swear if you need to, but don't say f**k this and f**k that all the time, okay? Post a smiley at the bottom of your application to prove that you've read the rules.
10. Have fun!
All these rules aren't to stop you from having fun. They are just so that the forum is a safer and funner place to be!
