Full Name: Ellis O’Neil.
Nickname(s): None.
Age: 16
Grade: Sophomore.
Clique: Individuals.
Appearance: Ellis is a 16 year old girl with a thin build and height of 5 ft. 6”. Her natural, straight, but sometimes wavy, blonde tresses, attract audiences everywhere she goes. Her hair skims the small of her back, and is rarely seen down in school, usually in two long braids. Ellis has ominous, green eyes that sparkle like seaweed and alternate between a crystalline blue and sharp green. They are tilted slightly downwards and curved upwards to the side. Eyebrows, definitely not as perfect as she’d like, and eyelashes are short with a small curl. Her lips are rather full and always seem to naturally stay in a rose madder shade. Ellis is long legged, and is very slightly paler skinned than usual. She looks best in white, purple, and green. A distinct physical feature of Ellis’s body is her somewhat resembling a star-shaped birthmark on her left hipbone. She always has a smile playing on her lips, and her posture is a slight slump to the front when she sits.
When not wearing her school’s uniform she enjoys wearing loose, cotton shirts and jeans or long, flowy skirts. To formal events, she does not delight in dressing up all gaudy, but enjoys wearing a simple dress or a nice pair of pants and a fancy shirt. She endears in wearing sun dresses, and collects hats of all kinds. Minami has never been seen, as far as anyone can remember, without the sea-green shark-tooth, hemp-braided charm hanging around her neck.
Clothing Style: Simple, summery.
Interesting Clothing Facts: She's never seen without her green shark tooth charm.
Personality (1-3 paragraphs): Ellis: Rebellious, outrageous, calm, funny, smart, superstitious, loyal, conflicting, spunky. All these words could describe the adolescent girl. Ellisa is not your average girl personality wise. Maybe it’s the fact that she is mute, but otherwise, even in front of her friends, Mina is different. And in her world, different is not good. Minami likes to give off a creative aura, one that doesn’t keep her or her company bored. Growing up in an extended family, she has always been surrounded by people - relatives, friends, and visitors- but for some reason unbeknownst to others, likes solitude, to think and reflect.
Ellis is always struggling with herself, and can go into small bouts of depression at times, lowering her spirit. However, during school, she to excels at almost every subject, except Calculus, and History. Her favorite subjects are Earth Science and Biology. Though Ellis is loyal to her friends, and school, she can be challenging of others, and can sometimes be over daring, pulling pranks on classmates along, which, though rarely, land her in detention. Ellis is very protective of her loved ones. If she has to she will hurt anyone who harms her best friends.
History/Background: Ellis’s mother is Italian, and her father is Irish. Her mother met her father in Rome while he was there on a business trip and took a shining to her immediately. However, the families didn’t exactly get along with one another when the two were brought together. In the end, they saw the light and Patrick and Sophia got married. Sophia moved to Ireland which is where Ellis was brought up.
They had Ellis’s brothers, but there was one other baby before Eliis. It was a girl, but she ended up dying a few days after birth. Ellis had a very happy childhood and went to school in Ireland. She goes to visit her grandparents in Italy every once in a while, and it is one of her favorite places to go. She’s had a few small bits of trouble that she’s gotten into there, but it wasn’t anything serious.
Ellis’s parents decided to come to America because it was where they took their honeymoon. They decided that it was time to start a new life, and they wanted Ellis and her brother’s to experience the beauty of America. She feels comfortable with Italian and English. She also knows a little Latin and Galik.
As said before, Ellis went to school in Ireland. Last year, she was top of her class, but she went through some hard times. A few boys made her life miserable, but she made sure to hold her own against them. She didn’t have a boyfriend because none tended to look at her. Overall, her year was fine, but she is greatly looking forward to a new start at a new school.
Likes: She loves the theatre, singing, reading, dancing, writing, playing the occasional prank, chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream, strawberries, traveling to new places, snow, walking in the moonlight, and many other things besides.
Dislikes: She dislikes running long distances, people that judge somebody instantly on appearances and people who pick on others.
Hobbies: Cooking, skate bording, reading and writing.
Quirks/Habits: She twists her hair around her finger while she’s thinking and bites her nails.
Sample RP:
Ellis stared critically at her reflection in the mirror that stood against a wall in her new bedroom. Her new school uniform was a little too “school girl” for her taste, but it was a lot better than her old one. Besides, it did let her show off some of her better features, and it seemed to make her a little bit taller looking as well. She quickly did a few last minute tweaks to her appearance and headed downstairs and out the door.
Her parents had already left, so all she had to do was lock up. Then, she was on her way to her new school. She was clutching a few books and her bag very close to her. Although she hated admitting it, Ellis was a little nervous about her first day. However, she didn’t have too long to ponder this train of though when her brother, Antonio, pulled up beside her in his new car.
“Ell, you though that you could leave the house without saying good-bye to me first?” Antonio asked pretending to be hurt.
Ellis smiled and rolled her eyes, before winking at him.
Antonio laughed and opened the car door. “I’ll give you a ride to school,” he said.
Ellis got in, and on the drive her brother gave her the normal talk about going to a new school. He was probably her favorite brother, but she didn’t like choosing favorites. The ride was very enjoyable, but she got a slight bit nervous again when they reached the school. However, Antonio gave her an encouraging smile and drove off.
With a deep breath, Ellis walked past the gates of the school. It looked fantastic, but she couldn’t help wishing that she was wearing one of her more comfortable outfits. Still, she supposed that it would be alright. The only thing she’d have to worry about was the language barrier that might arise. She wasn’t sure whether anybody would be able to read or speak Italian or not, but if they made fun of her she’d take care of them. With one last glance around the outside, Ellis marched towards the doors and stepped inside.
